With the holidays coming, the last few days have been incredibly hectic. I'm sure most of you can relate. The projects are piled on every available flat surface and I move from place to place trying to keep up a steady pace. (In fact, I'm printing calendar pages in between writing this blog post!)
This morning, however, things came to an abrupt stop! I've been working on editing and compiling a computer copy of my Dad's history. This morning I
could see the light at the end of the tunnel as I put together the last picture page. A few typed paragraphs to go and it would officially be completed except for printing. While taking a breathing break, I went to print a to do list for the week and suddenly our laser printer went crazy. Several lights flashed and the fan started turning at an extremely high speed! I frantically tried several things to correct the situation to no avail and I had to shut it down. To my dismay, a call to a local computer service shop revealed that repairs would be $47.50 per hour and the service technician would not be in until Monday!Later that afternoon Ken arrived home from work. I sadly related my printer problems and went about my work. Next thing I knew, Ken had the printer apart in about a dozen pieces! Screws were in small separate piles and he was studying inside. There jammed between the roller and the drum was a badly mangled piece of paper. With a pair of tweezers he carefully pulled out the bunched up chunks of paper and calmly put the whole thing back together again! Needless to say, I'm back in business. Thanks Ken! I owe you $47.50!

You married a real gem. He reminds me of dad. Take good care of him.
I'm glad everything turned out ok.

It's great to have a fix-it man living in your own home!!! YES!!! Love Mom.
How many screws were left over after the project was complete? :-)
How great is that guy and how lucky are you. Of course, he is just as lucky!
Nice :)
