The last few weeks have been filled with some wonderful moments with my grandchildren so I thought I'd share some of these special times. In early November I was able to travel to New York and spend a week with Ethan & Addie (and Marian, too, of course). We had a great time! The weather was perfect and while those of you in Utah were having your first snow storm, we spent a day playing at the park! The leaves had been gathered into a huge pile near the swings and were in a perfect location to jump into. The kids had a wonderful time and were covered with leaves by the time we left.
Later in the week we visited the Science Museum in Syracuse. They were really geared to children and we loved the exhibits.
As you can see, we especially loved the exhibits in the area about the human body. They had this huge nose on the wall with nose hairs that blew out air every few seconds. There was no way I could get either Ethan or Addie to stand by the puffing nose long enough for a picture. But they loved the giant tongue! :-)

In another area the kids were able to search for dinosaur bones and crawl through tunnels in a cave.
Back at home we had several activities, too. We popped popcorn one night from real popcorn cobs. Only 2 minutes in a paper sack in the microwave. Ethan showed me how to make my own popcorn sack where I could put my share.

On another day we made Oreo cookie Turkeys for Thanksgiving. What fun!

All too soon the week ended and I was headed home. But I'm already making plans for next time!

I LOVE those cute oreo turkey cookies!! I must make those for the girls next year - or have you show them how to do it :)
It's great to create memories and have lots of grandchildren.
